Haiphong
Hai Phong, 102km east of Hanoi, is the second biggest harbor city in Vietnam. It's an industrial and commercial center in the North. This is also a charming city with the central colonial style quarter and the picturesque and popular beach resort of Do Son.

Do Son Beach is one of the most popular seaside resort in the North with beautiful sandy beaches surrounded by coconut trees. This beach is 4km in length and 22 km south of Hai Phong.

Cat Ba National Park is an archipelago of 366 islands and islets. The main island, about 100 sq km, is 30 knots away from Hai Phong, bounded by Ha Long Bay, which is another bigger archipelago full of caverns fascinating most tourists. Cat Ba National Park is designed as 15,200-hectare zone to be protected in which there are 8,000 hectares of forests and 4,200 hectares of sea. Vast primitive tropical forests of Vietnam can be found here.

Hang Kenh Temple is a greatly valuable work of woodcarving. 156 pieces of carving with the dragon as the main theme can be seen in the temple. It is a place of worship for king Ngo Quyen, a national hero who won the Meridional Han on the Bach Dang River in 938 bringing the independence to Vietnam after more than 10 centuries of Chinese domination.

Du Hang Pagoda , built in the 10th century, was restored many times. Today, it is classified as a historic vestige of Hai Phong city.
