SIGHTSEEING SPOTS:
The Imperial City - the remnants of the existing citadel had been built from 1805 to 1832 on the left bank of the Perfume River with a mixture of western architecture called Vauban and Eastern one for oriental citadels.

The Mausoleums , where the Nguyen Kings rest in peace, had been built when the kings were still on the throne. Each mausoleum reflects the thought, the conception of the life, the sense of beauty, the character, the taste of its own king.

 Thien Mu Pagoda exists since early 17th century on the left bank of the Perfume River, about 7km in the west of the city. Here still remain the Great Bell, which is one of the achievements in the 18th century about Vietnamese brass moulding art, and a stone stele erected in 1715 on which was carved the merits of Lord Nguyen Phuc Chu, the restorer of the pagoda.

Dong Ba Market is the biggest trading center in Thua Thien Hue Province. In this market, various conical hats are are displayed on the stalls attracting a lot of tourists. The hats sold here are thin, light, smart-looking with their special originality: a decoration with a poem, Trang Tien bridge, Phuoc Duyen Tower in watermark.

Bach Ma National Park is 50km south of Hue. The French founded this mountainous resort in the 1930s, stretching from 1,000m to 1,444m in altitude. Most of the building here was destroyed by man and wars.

The Perfume River & the Ngu Mountain . Since the ancient time, this romantic river kept running through the forests full of fragrant vegetation, bringing along the good smell of nature into Hue. Sitting on a dragon boat, tourists can make a boat trip, which was only reserved for the kings, to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, the Bowl islet Temple & the Minh Mang Tomb. Together with the Perfume River, the Ngu Mountain is the second precious gift especially given to Hue by the Nature. For a long time, the Perfume River and the Ngu Mountain have become the symbols of Hue.
